The Forest Reveal
Drumroll, please…
Our long-awaited project to build an outdoor covered pavilion in our Forest gathering space is complete!
Many thanks to our community partners, our member volunteers, and our planning and building crew- Casey, Ira, Patrick, Tammy, Rebecca, Hidemi, Emi, and Nikki- for coming together to make this project a reality! It took many hours, a lot of elbow grease, and oh-so-many helping hands. As we like to say at Swapnplay, many hands make light work!
In addition to preparing our outdoor space for winter and Gold Backyard Habitat status, we built a large, covered structure below our sequoia trees in the Forest area! This covered structure will allow snacks, classes, and other activities to safely take place outside year ‘round! Besides adding native plants to the area, which provide food and homes for critters, birds, and bees, we will also be adding several trees to the area (plus a few special finishing touches!). Take a look on your next stroll through the neighborhood!
