Blood Drive Success

Thanks to our community’s collective effort, our first Red Cross Blood Drive was a success yesterday! A heartfelt thank you to the Red Sea Church for allowing us to use their beautiful space, the wonderful Red Cross team who are working tirelessly to collect donations during a blood shortage, the St. Johns Swapnplay and Red Sea Church volunteers, and a huge shout out to our local community for showing up in droves to donate- including many first-time donors! We surpassed our goal, collecting 34 units of blood, and are so grateful to everyone who made this event possible. Every donation can help save a life!

St. Johns Swapnplay is looking forward to hosting a blood drive quarterly, so look for more North Portland drives with us in the future!
