Summer Creative Movement is a class series that incorporates free movement, basic dance technique, and imagination. Class focuses on developing rhythm, coordination, and strength while encouraging self expression through games, group movement, and “across the floor” obstacle courses. Participants can expect to further deepen their relationship with their body in a fun, safe, and engaging environment.
Adrianna Audoma’s dance training began at the age of 7 at a local Southern California dance studio where she studied Royal Academy of Dance curriculum and completed numerous exams with honors. She went on to attended Idyllwild Arts Academy for four years and upon graduating, accepted a place in University of California, Irvine’s dance department. After her first year she chose to withdraw and instead attended a five month training program in Jerusalem, Israel where she studied with Vertigo Dance Company. Upon her return to the States, Adrianna began performing with Multiplex Dance Company under the direction of Chad Michael Hall and Tongue Dance Project under the direction of Stephanie Gilliland. She began her career as an instructor in 2014 where she worked for a mobile dance company teaching dance and creative movement in preschools across LA and Orange county. She’s taught at numerous studios, including her own childhood studio. In 2017 she decided to relocate to Portland, Or with Tongue Dance Project. Her time in Portland has been spent assisting in a Montessori classroom, establishing Tongue Dance Project, becoming a part of the Steps PDX team, and now finishing her unfinished undergraduate degree at PSU. Adrianna’s favorite things to do in the PNW are climb up to Angel’s Rest, drive across the St. John’s bridge, cuddle with her cat on rainy days, and drink too many Extracto lattes.

Join The Nature Atelier for nature inspired art this summer at the Swap! This workshop series celebrates the beauty of summer using a mix of process art and nature craft. Each week we will work with natural and eco-friendly art materials to create a take home art project that explores the wonderful world around us.
The Nature Atelier is founded by Swap parent and twin mama Angela Ruggles. She uses art, movement, and sensory experiences to grow and inspire a passion to protect our planet in the hearts of children and adults alike. Angela weaves together her diverse background in paleoethnobotany, museum art education, and yoga to create workshops, art kits, and handmade eco-friendly art supplies inspired by nature.
